Institute for Palestine Studies
A long established, Beirut-based, academic association that publishes journals in English, French and Arabic. They produce a preeminent academic journal on Palestine - Journal of Palestine Studies; also many monographs and other resources, such as an Encyclopedia of the Palestinians.

Middle East Research and Information Project (MERIP)
Established in the early 1970s MERIP publishes ME Reports and other materials. Web site also has a short primer on the Israel/Palestine conflict.

Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS)
A site with useful statistics and studies.

Birzeit University
The web site of the oldest and best Palestinian institution of higher learning, located in a village outside of Ramallah. The web site is very rich with material on different aspects of life, including challenges of education under occupation.

Institute of Law, Birzeit University
The entry point to an online legal database on Palestinian law and legal institutions.

Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research
An organization based in Nablus, associated with Khalil Shiqaqi, a controversial figure suspected of polling to satisfy American interests - especially a poll on refugee aspirations. However, one of the more experienced and professional pollsters in the Occupied Territories.

Muwatin, the Palestinian Center for the Study of Democracy
A group that involves Palestinians from within Israel and the Occupied Territories.

An-Najah National University, Nablus
One of Palestine's largest and most prominent academic institutions, located in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Near East Consulting
One of the leading Palestinian research firms, specializing in public opinion polling and media research.
